The 2007 New York State Uniform Fire Prevention and Building Codes have been shipped and will be effective January 1, 2008.

The State Fire Prevention and Building Code Council Technical Subcommittees have been established and are currently reviewing the 2006 International Codes which should result in the 2009 codes. The technical subcommittees provide technical support to the State Fire Prevention and Building Code Council, and assist the Code Council in reviewing the International Codes on a three year cycle.The Deadline for accepting Public proposals submitted to the Code Council Technical Subcommittees is October 15, 2007.
